Mark Of The Beast

Matthew 10:32-33

³²“Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. ³³ But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.”

During the seven year Tribulation, there will come a time when those of the world will have to pledge their allegiance to the one who has been instrumental in establishing the New World Order (one world government, monetary system and religion). In order to root out the “enemies” to this system of governing and religion, the Antichrist (or as he is also known as, the Beast) will cause all the inhabitants of the world to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. To make sure everyone receives this mark, he will institute a law that will require everyone to receive this mark of loyalty in order to legally buy or sell anything.

“And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, ¹⁷ and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. ¹⁸ Here is wisdom Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.”  (Rev. 13:16-18) 

This means that you can’t go to the supermarket to purchase food, go to the doctors to receive medical care, buy a newspaper, pay your utility bills, make a car payment, pick up your prescriptions, receive your weekly pay check, or purchase/sell anything else unless you have accepted the mark of the Beast. Faced with that option, how many people would actually refuse acceptance of the mark? Refusing it would mean starvation, sickness and death!

Unfortunately, a majority will choose to submit to the Beast’s demands and receive this mark of “loyalty”, causing it to become a physical witness to their spiritual state. They will think that they have made the right decision for the benefit of mankind, but what they won't realize is that they have chosen the enemy over God, forfeiting their eternal salvation.

“And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, ‘If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. ³⁵ For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. ³⁶ For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? ³⁷ For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?’"  (Mark 8:34-37) 

Those who receive the mark will be deceived by the Beast, who will declare himself to be "god." They will be told that the issuance of the mark is the beginning of a New World Order ushering in financial stability and human unity and by rejecting the mark, an individual is actually refusing to become part of this new world order of unity, making them an enemy of the state.

So what happens to those who accept the mark? While they are still here on earth, they will suffer the increasing severity of the outpouring of God’s judgments on the inhabitants of the earth time and time again.

“Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, ‘Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.’  ² So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant sore on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.”  (Rev. 16:1-2)

What happens to those who do not accept the mark, those who refuse to follow after the Beast and who reject this New World Order, those who are seen as enemies of the state? The Beast orders them executed! Their physical lives on this earth end, but that they return with Christ at the time of His second coming and reign with him during His millennial reign on earth.

“Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them.  And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." (Rev. 20:4) 

But in the very next verse it states that those who DID receive the mark of the Beast did not come back to life and remained where they were for a thousand years until the reign of Christ on this earth was completed. They did NOT have part in the first resurrection but were forced to wait to be judged.

“The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed.  This is the first resurrection."  (Rev. 20:5)

So those who do NOT receive the mark of the beast are part of the first resurrection and have no fear of negative judgment once the thousand year reign of Christ is finished.

"Blessed and holy is the one who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years."  (Rev. 20:6)

What eventually happens to the Beast and his reign on this earth when Jesus returns?

“And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. ²⁰ And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.”  (Rev. 19:19-21)

We now know what happens to the Beast, but what is the eternal state of those who accepted accepted the mark of the Beast?  Eternity in horrific pain and suffering.

"Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, ¹⁰ he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.  ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.'"  (Rev. 14:9-11)

If you have been left behind, it is imperative that you DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST; that you offer your lives to the One who can save you from eternity in hell. What will this "mark" be?  I'm not sure. It could be an tattoo or other mark. Whatever it will be, you won't be able to buy or sell without it and it will become a loyalty mark for those who have made the choice to follow and worship the Antichrist.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior before it’s too late. There is no guarantee that you will survive the outpouring of the judgments of God. Two thirds of the earth’s inhabitants will die before Jesus’ return!  Save yourself by accepting God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and reject any attempts by the New World Order to force you to accept the mark of the Beast. Receiving this mark means an eternity of pain and suffering. It’s a choice that everyone has to make.  It’s a choice that you have to make. Once you receive the mark, it’s too late to change your mind. Don’t be deceived by the one that the world will see as a ‘savior’. His power and authority will only last until Jesus returns at the end of the seven-year Tribulation. Then then the Antichrist will be thrown into the lake of fire forever, along with his false prophet. How much more unbearable will hell be knowing that you could have made the choice to live forever, surrounded by the glory of God, but you chose to deny Christ.
